ASA Clubs List

The main focus of the Augustana Psychology Club is to engage students, faculty, and staff with psychology and promote mental health on campus. Our club aims to do this through academic events such as our psych info night and or what you can do with your psych degree night. Non‐academic events consist of movie nights, yoga nights, paint nights, clothing drives, and bake sales. All of our events are hosted with the idea of creating awareness of psychology and promoting sound mental health. This may be done through a relaxing yoga session or an Augustana Alumni night to discuss future programs and careers in the field of psychology.

Augustana Psychology Club

The Augustana Psychology Club’s purpose is to bring awareness of psychology and mental health to students, faculty, and staff on campus through academic and non‐academic means.

Augustana Biology Club

The Augustana Biology Club was formed to provide an opportunity for Augustana students who are interested in biology to meet other students who share that same passion and love for biology. We hope to provide support for junior students entering university, as well as senior students who want to explore biology outside of the classroom. Through both academic and fun events, the Augustana Biology Club will attempt to cultivate and reinvigorate the passion for biology that some biology students may have lost, and will aim to increase the general Augustana student community’s interest in biology.

Augustana Chemistry Society will provide both social and academic events for our members with the main focus being on chemistry. Tutoring and help sessions (mainly directed towards first-year students) will be offered to help with their courses. Tutors will be collaborating with professors on the course content and learning style. We also plan on partnering with other clubs to bring diversity, various events, and scientific demonstrations throughout the course of the year.

Augustana Chemistry Society

The mission of the club is to provide a fun and educational environment for the students to learn and apply chemistry in a variety of ways (academically, in careers, and real-life applications).

Augustana Drama Group will focus on providing student-led production opportuniies for students throughout the winter semester. We want those interested in the arts to connect, make friends, strenghten agency and foster a sense of safety in our theatre community. This group will strive to provide creative opportunities for students in a wide variety of areas including tech management and operations, costumes, sound, set, directing, acting, publicity, program design, and stage management.

Drama Club

To provide an artistic and theatrical outlet for drama students and non-drama students on campus interested in theatre and performance. This club aims to provide students witha fully student-run theatrical production throughout the winter semester, with roles including student stage technicians, stage managers, costume designers, actors, directors, sound designers, and much more.

Whether preparing for an exciting performance or just looking to enjoy dance, our club emphasizes collaboration, expression, and fun. Towards the end of each session, we encourage participants to showcase their favorite moves, building confidence and community through shared passion.

Dance Club

Our Dance Club is a vibrant community of dancers who come together to express creativity, build skills, and share their love for movement. Focused on delivering a range of low to high-commitment practices, we explore various dance styles—from contemporary and hip-hop to themed routines and musical numbers. Each week, we focus on learning choreography around specific songs or styles, fostering an inclusive and encouraging environment where dancers of all levels can thrive.

South Asical Club would focus on sharing South Asian cultures through food, games, media, music, etc. The club would host movie and game nights, along with follow0along cooking and crafting tutorials specific to South Asia. In doing this, we would be encouraging students to take a leadership role in sharing their cultures and introducing all participants to lifestyles and forms of entertainment that may be unfamiliar to them.

Augustana Jazz Club is an all-inclusive creative club that promotes musical ensemble with designated times of rehearsals and a goal of performance. We are open to the community of Camrose and non-music students in Augustana that are interested in being a part of a music club without academic stress.

Jazz Club

Augustana Jazz club is a creative environment where students and community members explore jazz (and other genres), work towards community performances, practice and rehearse in a collective ensemble, and have fun!

Science

Science Club focuses on bringing together students from all majors, not just STEM, to create a united community. We don’t just focus on STEM-related activities, we also offer a variety of events for everyone to enjoy! We believe that collaboration is key, providing opportunities for everyone to share their unique knowledge and skills. Whether you’re into Biology, Chemistry, or just have a curiosity for science, our club is a fun and welcoming space where you can connect with others who share your passion—join us and be part of something special!

Tabletop Games

The “Tabletop Games Club” strives to connect students through various tabletop games, from Dungeons and Dragons to chess. If you are interested in board games, card games, or want a place to hang out, this club is for you.

Augustana Wildlife Society

Our club's purpose is to connect Augustana students with local wildlife education opportunities. The wildlife society will bridge the distance between the natural world and students and facilitate learning and connections.

The Augustana Harry Potter Club is a special place for Augustana students because it is the only fantasy-based club on campus. With this club also being non-academic, it can allow for a healthy release that can turn into Harry Potter themed fun to unite Potterheads. New connections can be made by fulfilling this classic childhood movie series fantasy. This club will embody the history and culture of the Harry Potter series through exciting activities, including Harry Potter-themed trivia, wand-making, Hogwarts House-sorting, and more.

Harry Potter Club

The Augustana Harry Potter Club's mission is to create a sense of community amongst Potterheads and bring the wizarding world to students. This will be done through various activities that allow all members to learn and enjoy the Harry Potter series’ culture in a respectful manner. In these new and challenging times, it is essential to find an outlet to de-stress. This club will serve as a creative alternative to allow students to escape university life pressures while also still connecting with others. All students from every walk of life can be united under one commonality and benefit each other.

Augustana Queers and Allies is a community-based group for all students with an emphasis on providing support to gender and sexual minorities. Our goal is to provide support as well as recognize the LGBTQ+ students at Augustana. We set up events so that students are able to gather LGBTQ+ community support as well as interact with other students. We wish to allow LGBTQ+ folks and allies to connect and strengthen diversity in our community.

AQUA (Augustana Queers and Allies)

The mission of AQUA is to provide a welcoming, positive atmosphere, for all students, with special attention paid to those who belong to gender and sexual minorities.

Our club welcomes people of all ethnicity and race to come and spend time and embrace African cultures through different forms of art. From dancing to talking about educational topics that affect the world around us. We love to share food and have fun. It exposes all Augustana students to the beautiful cultures of Africa and we hope to make Augustana more culturally enriched.

Afro -Youth

This club is dedicated to showcasing the different cultures within Africa whilst also offering a place for students of African descent to find community at Augustana.

The Augustana Community Initiative Club focuses on inviting students to join in with organizations in Camrose to help meet local needs and to engage in student planned and led events to build relationships and make a meaningful impact in the community.

At B.U.L.L.S we keep business exciting and simple, so anyone from a doctor and to a tech start-upper can benefit from the club in some way. Our focus is to give people first-hand business experience by approaching real-life problems within the Augustana community and beyond from an entrepreneur's perspective. At our weekly meetings, we talk about current socio-economic trends, business policies, and marketing techniques, and share each other's unique perspectives on real-life business cases. We also organize events where experienced businessmen provide insights from their rich life experiences.

BULLS (Business Undergraduate Learning & Leadership Society)

Our mission is to provide a fruitful environment for young businessmen and entrepreneurs, as well as people from all other walks of life who are interested in business or would like to learn more about it.

Our club hopes to offer various opportunities for students to serve in the communities while making a difference, developing social skills, and creating long lasting friendships. We would also like to connect students with Rotarians/mentors to further professional development. While doing this, we hope to pursue a local, national and international project to promote positive community work.

Rotoract

Our club’s mission is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

Disciples of Jesus will have many fun activities such as Bible studying, prayer meetings, watching Christian movies and sharing testimonies. We will meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Disciples of Jesus is a club that is meant to bring people closer to Jesus by doing Bible studies, prayer meetings, watching Christian movies and sharing testimonies. This club is supposed to bring comfort to students because sometimes work can be stressful but through the word of God we can obtain peace because Jesus is the prince of peace. This club will help students get in the habit of spending time with Jesus by going through the Bible and praying. This club is also meant to help students make new friends and get closer to one another by spending time with each other through these activities.

The Law, Crime, and Justice Club aims to build a vibrant community for students interested in the legal and justice fields. We provide a platform for networking and professional growth through events like guest speaker sessions, career fairs, and hands-on workshops. Our activities include movie nights, trivia, and public speaking practice to enhance skills relevant to law and justice careers. Whether you're interested in law enforcement, legal practice, or victim services, we aim to support your journey through educational and professional development.

Law Crime and Justice Club

to create opportunities to grow and flourish experiences, and relationships between the Law crime and justice students and staff and their surrounding communities.

The Augustana Sustainability Club is a club dedicated to benefiting the students of Augustana and the community through education on sustainability topics, providing a space to collaborate on Certificate of Sustainability projects and learning, building connections between community members who are committed to sustainability, the Augustana Sustainability Club, and Augustana students. Lastly we hope to host events related to sustainability utilizing these built connections. This club is flexible and may adapt these goals to both the interests of the Club team, to the needs of the Augustana community, and the larger Camrose community.

Sustainability Club

Our mission is to provide members with a space to 1) learn more about what sustainability is and its included topics. 2) provide a space for students taking the certificate in sustainability to work collaboratively on the required project and discuss the sustainability certificate and its contents generally. 3) provide members with the opportunity to meet and build connections with community members/organizations committed to sustainability. 4) provide a space to host events related to sustainability.

The Women of Tomorrow (WOT) Society is dedicated to empowering individuals who are comfortable in a female-focused space by fostering an inclusive community that champions career growth, wellness, academic excellence, and personal development. Our mission is to inspire confidence, provide resources, and create opportunities that equip members with the skills and support they need to thrive in all aspects of life.

Our Mission is to build a transformative network where members feel empowered, uplifted, and prepared to lead future generations. We aspire to cultivate a space where every member can unlock their full potential and actively contribute to a more equitable and successful society.
