2026-27 - UASU Augustana Councillor

UASU - Augustana Councillor Candidate
Amanda Dunbar
My name is Amanda Dunbar and I'm a second year law, crime, justice major at Augustana. My deep love for Augustana drives everything I do. Our campus culture, history, and vibrant student body deserve strong, energetic representation that never lets Augustana be treated as an afterthought. I will proactively showcase the strengths of our campus and build stronger bridges between Augustana, the U of A Students' Union, and the city of Camrose. Vote Amanda Dunbar for Augustana representative!
2026-27 Off Campus Representative

ASA - Off Campus Represenative Candidate
Kaylee Heinz
Program: 2nd year Ethics and Global Studies major
The reason that I wanted to run for this position is because I hope to bring a sense of community to Augustana. When I was in my first year, I found I lacked community amongst on-campus students. I want to make sure that students are supported and have opportunities to create friendships. Living off campus can be isolating and difficult. I hope I can be a friendly face around campus for anyone who needs a friend or wants to say hi! Off Campus students are unique and have different needs than those who live in residence and I hope to learn to understand those needs. In addition, I thought it would be a great experience as I want to work in politics in the future.

ASA - Off Campus Representative Candidate
Finlay White
Program: BSc Chemical and Physical Sciences, 3rd year
I am a charismatic and outgoing young man with aspirations to continue onto dental school! In my off-time I DJ EDM, spend time with my dogs, and crush a good hike. As an off-campus student myself I understand it can be difficult to feel included on campus and my objective is to create events and opportunities to bridge that gap so off-campus students feel heard, respected, and a sense of belonging on campus! One of my loftier goals is to include a safe space on campus for students to unwind and nap. Living away from campus means spending large amounts of time away from home, where access to a comfortable sleeping space is non-existent. As a busy student myself, it would be very reassuring to know there exists a place on campus where I could catch up on necessary sleep!
2026-27 Indigenous Representative

ASA - Indigenous Representative Candidate
Owen Sunderland
My name is Owen Sunderland. I am a third-year Environmental Science major running for Indigenous Representative. I decided to run after seeing that there was an opening in the position with no one to fill it. I felt it was important that Indigenous students on campus have representation within the ASA.
If elected, I hope to bring greater awareness of Indigenous student events and opportunities on campus and help make sure Indigenous perspectives and knowledge have a place within the ASA. I am not someone with extensive Indigenous knowledge, but I am willing to learn, listen, and work with other Indigenous students and communities to help bring those perspectives forward. My goal is to be a representative who listens to students and helps make their voices heard.
