Executive Committee Overview
Roles and Responsibilities
The ASA Executive Committee:
-
oversees the day-to-day operation of the ASA
-
deals with issues that affect the entire organization
-
makes decisions on matters that do not require ASC approval or that need action before the next Council meeting
-
ensures that the ASA is meeting its short-term and long-term strategic goals
-
is ultimately responsible to the ASC for all decisions it makes

ASA Executive Committee members:

Sit on a variety of ASA, administrative, and UASU committees

Sit on ASA executive committee

Are signing authorities for the ASA

Specific Roles and Responsibilities

Is the Chief Executive Office and acts as the main spokesperson for the ASA

Guides the overall direction of the organization
-
Attends meetings and ensures good relations with stakeholders
-
Have oversight with the ASA's strategic goals and ongoing projects
-
Chairs the Augustana Student Council
-
Chairs the ASA Executive Committee

Manages the ASA's social media channels and other communication tools with the overall goal of keeping student members updated and informed

Chairs the Awareness committee
ASA Vice President Finance
Specific Roles and Responsibilities
-
Works with ongoing projects and opportunities to diversify the ASA's revenue base
-
Oversees the creation of an annual budget and 5 -year budget
-
Oversees the ASA’s financial policies, and funding decisions

Is responsible for the ASA’s Food Security Programming

Chairs the ASA’s BRC committee
