ASA Elections
Elections Overview
ASA student leaders are elected annually to represent undergraduate students at the University of Alberta - Augustana. ​ There are three elections throughout the year: a Fall By-Election, an Executive Election, and the Students’ Council Election Candidates are nominated for a variety of leadership roles and representatives are voted for the upcoming year.
ASA Executive Election
Election to fill the President and Vice Presidents positions. Occurs in tandem with the UASU's General Election. Plebiscite and/or Referenda questions, if any, occur during this election. Occurs during the first week of March each year.
ASA Student Council Election
Election to fill the roles of ASA Student Council representatives. These elected officials represent a variety of faculties and demographics at Augustana. Occurs in tandem with the UASU's Student Council Election. Occurs during third week in March each year.
ASA Fall By-Election
Only occurs as required. Election to fill vacancies on Students' Council, including executive positions. Occurs during the first week of October each year. Occurs in tandem with the UASU's Fall By-Election.
