AfroYouth presents Black is King

The Afroyouth club is hosting a gala with the theme Black is King in honour of Black History Month in February. Our theme name draws from the musical body of work by Beyoncé that celebrates and analyzes Black history and culture, which is what we aim to achieve during the planning and execution of this event. This event allows attendees to show up in their traditional attire to spotlight their culture with a touch of their personal style. While this event primarily focuses on celebrating Black culture, it also sheds light on the essence of the national recognition of Black history. Of course, this event is not exclusive to people of African descent; we also welcome other members of our campus community who are allies in this celebration.
